This award-winning rodeo is a great experience for the entire family. “It’s Not Our First Rodeo” this marks the Rodeo’s 98th year in action. The CPSR is a great activity for one an all. Kiddos can even enter the mutton bustin’ competition! It is a rich part of Buena Vista’s history, and you won’t want to miss it!
2019 marks the 71st anniversary of FIBArk, the nation’s oldest whitewater festival and Salida’s signature event. Since 1949, every June during the Spring snow runoff, Salida has hosted FIBArk, “First in Boating on the Arkansas.” For more information, visit fibark.com

The Mountain Mania Car Show returns to Buena Vista. Collectors and enthusiasts converge on East Main Street to celebrate their love of cars. Over 100 cars of all makes, models, and years will be on display.

On July Fourth our small town celebrates in a big way with a kids fishing derby, hometown parade, pancake breakfast, free live music and activities for kids of all ages at Riverside Park, with fireworks (weather permitting) at dusk from the “S” Mountain. Make sure you have a great view!
